Purpose of the role:
To teach and manage the design, creation, implementation and evaluation of IB MYP ART curriculum 2026-2028, embracing the Lumio School vision, mission and values.
Lumio Private School is a new not-for-profit international school located near Paphos, Cyprus. The school opened its doors in September 2024. With a stunning 6.8-hectare site currently undergoing renovation, Lumio offers modern classrooms, well-equipped science and IT labs, dedicated spaces for arts and sports, and a variety of extracurricular activities. Purpose of the Role
The MYP Art Teacher plays a key role in inspiring students to explore and express their creativity through an inquiry-based arts curriculum. The purpose of this role is to guide learners in developing their artistic, conceptual, and technical skills while nurturing critical thinking, cultural awareness, and personal expression. The teacher will design engaging learning experiences aligned with the IB MYP framework, support students in developing their individual artistic voice, and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive arts programme within the school community.
Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts Education, Art Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Teaching certification or qualification valid for secondary education.
Experience teaching in the IB MYP or inquiry-based learning environments (preferred).
Strong understanding of visual arts techniques, media, and contemporary practices.
Ability to differentiate instruction and support a diverse range of learners.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
